Bates back on the shelves at last!

Methuen re-publish Classic Bates

16 June 2006 - The Society is pleased to hear the news that Methuen are publishing Bates. A number of titles are immediately available and these are The Feast of July, The Purple Plain  and The Jacaranda Tree. Also to be re-printed soon are the three volumes of Bates's autobiography The Vanished World, The Blossoming World and The World in Ripeness which are being incorporated into a single volume. Also to be published later in the year are The Sleepless Moon and Love For Lydia.

We are sure that all lovers of H.E. Bates will welcome the return of some of his best work and hope that this may also introduce him to a new generation of readers.
